EVENT schedule

Hosted over two days at London’s Royal Albert Hall, the Leadership Conference is a unique event that gathers Christian leaders from around the world – across traditions, generations, and cultures – who come together with a common vision for the evangelisation of the nations, the revitalisation of the church, and the transformation of society.

As well as main stage interviews and talks, during the afternoon we will host seminars and interactive labs, exploring a range of relevant topics and addressing common pain-points that leaders are facing today.

  • NICKY & PIPPA GUMBEL

    Nicky and Pippa are the pioneers of Alpha, an introduction to the Christian faith running in churches of all denominations in 140 countries. Nicky has written several best-selling books including Why Jesus?, Questions of Life, and The Jesus Lifestyle. Having initially trained as a barrister, Nicky went on to be Vicar of Holy Trinity Brompton, a large central London church, for 17 years. Nicky and Pippa now work to support Alpha globally. They are also the authors of a daily Bible commentary called ‘The Bible with Nicky and Pippa Gumbel’ which has over two million global subscribers.

  • ABEL & JACINTHA CHEAH

    Abel and Jacintha are the lead pastors of Holy Trinity Bukit Bintang (HTBB) Church. Jacintha heads up Projects and Planting initiatives while Abel is the Vicar of HTBB and directs the Leadership Development initiatives of the Alpha Asia Pacific Hub. Abel previously worked as COO of Alpha Asia Pacific, National Coordinator of Alpha Malaysia, and Head of Regions for Teach for Malaysia. Jacintha previously worked in education as Head of Operations for St Paul’s Theological College Malaysia and for the Teach for Malaysia programme. Abel and Jacintha have two sons, Levi and Lucas.

  • ARCHIE & SAM COATES

    Archie, with his wife Sam, is the Vicar of Holy Trinity Brompton, prior to which they led St Peter’s Brighton for thirteen years. Sam is the founder of the Safehaven Women’s Service and was awarded the “local hero” award by the gardening chain Dobbies and the Teenage Cancer Trust for helping homeless and vulnerable people in 2020. Archie studied Theology at Oxford University and was Associate Vicar at HTB before planting to Brighton in 2009.

  • PRISCILLA SHIRER

    Priscilla is a New York Times bestselling author of more than two dozen books, and has featured in movies including War Room (2015), I Can Only Imagine (2018), Overcomer (2019) and The Forge (2024). First and foremost a wife and mum, Priscilla and her husband, Jerry Shirer, lead Going Beyond Ministries through which they provide spiritual support and resources to the body of Christ, across every denomination and culture. Their greatest joy has been raising their three sons.

  • DR ARTHUR BROOKS

    A Harvard professor, PhD social scientist, #1 bestselling author and columnist of The Atlantic's popular "How to Build a Life" column. Arthur teaches on leadership and happiness, with a particular focus on the Science of Happiness. He has authored 13 books, including the number one New York Times bestsellers, Build the Life You Want: The Art and Science of Getting Happier with co-author Oprah Winfrey, and From Strength to Strength: Finding Success, Happiness, and Deep Purpose in the Second Half of Life.

  • Bear Grylls

    Bear Grylls OBE, has become known worldwide as one of the most-recognised faces of survival and outdoor adventure. He is a double BAFTA & EMMY winner and best selling author. He began his journey in the British Special Forces (21 SAS) before becoming one of the youngest-ever climbers of Mount Everest. His latest book, The Greatest Story Ever Told, tells the gospel story of Jesus through the eyewitness accounts of those that knew him best. 

  • PS ANDRÉS SPYKER

    Senior pastor of Másvida Church in Mexico City. Andrés has planted churches with a strong focus on practical Bible teaching in Mexico, the US and Venezuela. He is also an author and is passionate about helping people in their relationship with God and developing leaders in every area of life. He is married to Kelly and they have three children.

  • DR MAANDA TSHIFULARO

    A renowned strategist, leadership coach, and author, Maanda is dedicated to advancing leadership excellence. Maanda serves as the Founding Director of leadership consulting firm, SuperLead Advisory. He is also Director of the Gordon Institute of Business Science Centre for Leadership and Dialogue, and a board member of Alpha South Africa. Maanda has been recognised as one of The Mail & Guardian’s Top 200 Young South Africans in 2019 and one of Junior Chamber International’s Top 10 Young Persons. He is also a devoted husband and father.

  • RACHEL GARDNER

    Rachel Gardner has been working with young people for more than two decades and has authored several books, including The Girl De-Construction Project and The Sex Thing. She is an Ambassador for Home For Good, Director of Partnerships at Youthscape and is one of the leaders of St Luke’s, a youth resourcing church serving a deprived neighbourhood in Blackburn in North West England. She is married to Jason and they have two children.

  • ELLE LIMEBEAR

    British worship leader, artist and storyteller. Elle Limebear has been writing music and leading worship since her teenage years. Passionate about enriching the musical faith landscape in her homeland, she is determined to make a unique and lasting impact on both the British and global music scenes.

  • DR JOHANNES HARTL

    Philosopher, Founder and Catholic theologian. Johannes Hartl's online lectures reach hundreds of thousands across denominations, making topics of faith relevant and understandable in today's world. He is an influential mediator between Christian spirituality, philosophy and psychology, and a doctor of Catholic theology.

  • DAME SHARON WHITE

    Sharon is Chair of Frontier Economics and head of Europe for a Canadian Pension Fund. She was recently Chair of the John Lewis Partnership (the UK’s largest employee owned business) after a long career in the public sector. She became a Christian at an early age. She is married to Robert Chote and they have two sons.

  • TAMMY COMER

    Tammy and her husband, John Mark, served for almost 20 years at Bridgetown Church in Portland, Oregon. Having been unexpectedly healed of chronic illness, her life's theme is one of gratitude. Her deliverance and complete healing, as well as her journey through suffering and years of deep disappointment, have profoundly impacted the way she lives. Her passion is to see people encounter Jesus in the messiness of their own lives. Tammy currently lives in California’s Topanga Canyon with her family.

  • LYNDON NERI

    After receiving his Master’s in Architecture at Harvard University Graduate School of Design and his BA in Architecture at the University of California, Berkeley, Lyndon co-founded Neri&Hu Design and Research Office with Rossana Hu in 2006. The Shanghai-based inter-disciplinary architectural design practice has reinforced his core vision: to respond to a global worldview incorporating overlapping design disciplines for a critical paradigm in architecture. Lyndon believes strongly in research as a design tool, given that each project bears its unique set of contextual issues.

  • STEPHEN FOSTER

    Stephen leads St Aldates in Oxford, a growing church with many young adults, students and families, and which is seeing lots of people come to faith in Jesus. Stephen read Law at Oxford and Theology at Cambridge, and worked as a barrister for a number of years. He is married to Beth, and they have four daughters. Stephen is also an advisor to Alpha.

  • NICKY AND SILA LEE

    Nicky and Sila are the authors of The Marriage Book and The Parenting Book, and creators of The Marriage Courses and The Parenting Courses. Over the last 40 years, their ministry and courses have reached over 1.5 million couples in more than 120 countries, equipping them with practical resources to strengthen their relationships and family life. They have four children and 10 grandchildren.

  • JOHN-SON OEI

    EPIC Co-Founder and CEO, John-Son is a social entrepreneur who has created unique social enterprises and collaborative models for community development. John-Son has appeared in Forbes 30 under 30, been awarded SME’s Malaysian Social Entrepreneur of the Year and a Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award, and been accepted into the prestigious Ashoka Fellowship. He addresses audiences internationally and serves on the Board of Trustees of Impact Integrated. He previously served on the Board of the Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre.

  • PETE HUGHES

    Along with his wife, Bee, Pete Hughes planted KXC in 2010, establishing a community with the simple vision to recklessly give themselves away to God, each other, and the people of King’s Cross and beyond. Pete is a highly regarded figure in the UK church and is the author of All Things New, a book about joining God’s story of recreation.

  • FARIDA MATTHEWS

    Farida Matthews is married to Jamie and works as a Curate at SAINT in East London. She is an actor and singer who also hosts her own podcast called Milk & Honey. Through her ministry as Priest and her creative endeavours, she is passionate about empowering the people of God to discover their identity in Christ and walk in the fullness of that reality.

  • AMY HUGHES

    Amy has been leading Trinity Church Nottingham since 2016 alongside her husband Jonny. She is ordained into the Church of England but spends much of her time being mum to her five young children. Amy founded The Orchard women's charity with her sister Rachel after feeling stirred to 'gather the women'. Together they host the popular The Orchard podcast, exploring the women in scripture. Amy’s life passion is leading people into the presence of Jesus where life is transformed and freedom released.

  • RACHEL HUGHES

    Rachel is married to Tim and together they have five children. She is the Co-lead Pastor of Gas Street in Birmingham; a church they planted in 2015. Rachel has a television and media background and served on the HTB staff team for several years. Two of her passions are seeing young women released into leadership and inspiring families into fostering and adoption. In her recently pioneered ministry, Rachel is seeing women empowered to love, follow and serve Jesus boldly in every life season through The Orchard podcast, retreats and conferences.

  • FR JAMES MALLON

    Author of the best-selling book Divine Renovation: Bringing Your Parish From Maintenance to Mission, Fr James’ message has resonated with pastors worldwide, inspiring them to seek help in transforming their parishes. To answer their needs, the Divine Renovation Ministry was created. Since Divine Renovation, Fr James has authored four additional publications on different facets of parish renewal. He has run Alpha in his parishes for 20 years and is now Pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

  • ALEX PETT

    Alex works with senior leaders to help them establish the behaviours and ways of working required to deliver their strategies. He leads River Leadership, a small consulting firm working across the corporate, health and education sectors. He is also an Associate Director of Change Logic LLC, a consultancy founded and led by Harvard Professor Michael Tushman and Stanford Professor Charles O’Reilly. Prior to this, he was Head of Leadership for two FTSE 100 companies. He is a Warden at Christchurch, Clevedon.

  • PATRICIA LAU

    Executive Director of Alpha Hong Kong, Patricia also leads the global development of Alpha in the workplace. She graduated from the University of Cambridge and has held various leadership positions in finance, most recently as Managing Director at a leading investment bank. Since personally encountering Christ through Alpha, Patricia has been passionate about running Alpha in the workplace. In 2020, she followed God's calling to join Alpha and dreams of seeing every believer equipped and empowered to share the Gospel.

  • Wole Agbaje

    Wole is the Pastor of IMPRINT Church, a community in Central London and Leicester with a vision to see people marked by God to leave a mark in their world. He is also on the leadership team of The Send UK and Ireland which is a collaborative, global coalition of Jesus followers, dedicated to the fulfilment of the great commission. Wole is also a musician and designer who is passionate about empowering people to use their artistic talents to communicate their faith in Jesus.

  • HENRY KAESTNER

    Co-founder of Faith Driven Entrepreneur and Faith Driven Investor, serving faith-driven leaders through content, community, and connection. Henry is also a Co-founder and Partner at Sovereign’s Capital, investing in entrepreneurs in the U.S. and Southeast Asia. Previously, he co-founded Bandwidth (NASDAQ: BAND) and Republic Wireless. Henry has helped launch initiatives like DurhamCares and Generosity Bay Area, and serves on several ministry and business boards. He and his wife are bi-coastal empty nesters, splitting their time between California and the U.S. East Coast.

  • LILIAN TAN

    Lilian was born in Shanghai and raised in Hong Kong. With extensive experience in finance, she most recently served as a Managing Director at a major Swiss bank. Passionate about reaching the lost, she has been leading Workplace Alpha in the finance industry for over a decade. Through Workplace Alpha in her office, countless lives have been touched, and many have experienced profound transformation. Lilian also serves as a pastoral leader of a church in Hong Kong.

  • DR CHLOE SWART

    Chloe Swart is the National Director for Alpha UK. She also holds a doctorate in the topic of ‘Healing Miracles in Wales’. She lives in Swansea with her husband Russo, where they both serve as small group leaders at their local church, Cornerstone.

  • AARON GONZALEZ

    Aaron Gonzalez leads Alpha Youth in the UK, equipping youth pastors to create spaces for young people to explore faith. Born in Mexico and now based in London with his wife, Katie, he has a background in graphic design and brand development. Before Alpha, he served as a Youth Pastor in a church plant, shaping his passion for discipleship and ministry.

  • JODIE LINTERN

    Jodie Lintern is the Student Outreach Pastor at St Aldates Church in Oxford. She came to faith during university after spending her teenage years and early twenties playing football for Birmingham City FC. Passionate about helping students discover faith in Jesus, she pioneered the first Bridge the Gap Women’s football team – an outreach community for women aged 18-30.

  • JAMES KELLY

    James is the Founder and CEO of FaithTech, a global tech community for Christ. FaithTech operates in 50 cities across 15 countries including London, Silicon Valley, Seattle, Toronto, Tel Aviv, Tokyo, New York, Sao Paulo, Cairo, Melbourne, and many more. The work of FaithTech has been featured by The New York Times, Wired, and Christianity Today. James is married with two children and lives in Waterloo, Canada.

  • JON THOMPSON

    Senior Pastor of Toronto’s multi-site Sanctus Church, where he has been on staff for 27 years, Jon has a Masters of Theological Studies from Tyndale Seminary, Toronto and a Doctorate of Missiology from Fuller Seminary, California. He teaches globally on spiritual conflict, gifts, practices and experiences. He also speaks on pastoral leadership and long-term ministry experiences and has authored the books authored Convergence, Deliverance, and Perseverance. Jon is husband to Joanna and father to three teenagers.

  • SARAH JACKSON

    CEO of Revitalise Trust, which supports the planting of churches across the UK. Prior to Revitalise Trust, Sarah was HTB Group Chief of Staff, Director of Operations and Executive Pastor at St Paul’s Hammersmith and was Founding Director of a property and design company working in the UK and Europe. Sarah and her husband Tom are part of the clergy team at HTB and are founders of Love Your Neighbour national campaign. Sarah is an ordained minister in the Church of England.

  • Simon Greathead

    Simon is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer working for Jaguar Land Rover currently in Seating Product Development. He is Co-Chair of Christians@JLR and, for 23 years, has been Chair of the Christian Network which has expanded to all UK sites with members across many international JLR sites too. Simon is married and has four grown-up children. He is a member of a church leadership team in Birmingham (Church Alive), serving mainly in children’s work.
